Abhinav Trivedi has been appointed as the Managing Director (MD) and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Standard Chartered Capital Limited, effective September 2026.

Trivedi brings more than 13 years of experience with Standard Chartered Bank across financial markets, retail foreign exchange, business strategy and financial services. Prior to his new appointment, he served as Executive Director and Head of Retail FX at Standard Chartered Bank India.

He has also previously served as Managing Director and CEO of Standard Chartered Securities (India) Ltd., adding experience across the group’s securities and capital markets businesses.

Extensive Experience Across Financial Services

During his tenure with Standard Chartered, Trivedi has held several leadership positions spanning business strategy and financial markets. His previous roles include Business Planning Manager to the CEO, India; Director – Financial Market Sales; and Director – Financial Markets.

In his new role at Standard Chartered Capital, Trivedi will oversee the company’s business as it continues to operate across the financial services and capital markets ecosystem.

His appointment comes as another leadership responsibility within the Standard Chartered Group, building on his experience across foreign exchange, financial markets and securities businesses.

Academic Background

Trivedi is an alumnus of the Indian Institute of Management Calcutta and Panjab University.

His career at Standard Chartered has included leadership responsibilities across multiple financial services verticals, providing him with experience across markets, strategy and client-facing businesses.

With his appointment as MD and CEO of Standard Chartered Capital, Trivedi will now take on a broader leadership mandate within the group, drawing on his experience across the bank’s financial markets and securities operations.
