Mumbai, August 25, 2026: Anjana Srinivasan has been appointed Chief Administrative Officer (CAO), Asia & Middle East, and Chief Operating Officer (COO), Asia International Markets at HSBC, taking on a broader leadership mandate after around 24 years with the organisation.

Srinivasan has held several leadership roles during her tenure at HSBC, building experience across Operations, Risk & Control, Retail Banking & Wealth Management, Global Marketing, and Business Risk & Resilience.

Her career across multiple functions and markets has given her experience in banking operations, risk management, customer-focused businesses and organisational resilience. This cross-functional background will be central to her responsibilities in the new roles.

Before joining HSBC, Srinivasan worked with Vasan And Sampath Chartered Accountants, where she gained experience in audit and taxation.

A Chartered Accountant and graduate of Bangalore University, Srinivasan brings more than two decades of experience at HSBC to her new dual mandate, along with exposure to different markets and business functions.

In her new capacity, Srinivasan will focus on strengthening operational leadership across Asia and the Middle East while supporting HSBC’s international markets businesses across the region.

Her responsibilities will include contributing to operational effectiveness, risk and control frameworks, and business resilience as the bank continues to strengthen its operations across key Asian and Middle Eastern markets.

The appointment marks another step in Srinivasan’s long career with HSBC and expands her leadership responsibilities across both regional administration and international markets operations.
