Mumbai: MOS Utility has appointed Atish Shelar as its Group Chief Executive Officer, bringing more than 25 years of experience across banking, fintech, digital payments, merchant acquiring, product strategy, and business development to the company’s leadership team.
Shelar takes on the new role at an important stage in MOS Utility’s growth journey, with the company looking to strengthen its digital financial services ecosystem and build greater integration across its businesses.
In his new position, Shelar will focus on scaling the company’s financial services portfolio, strengthening business operations, and creating synergies across its group businesses, including JC Ventures, Indicore, and Samvriddhi.
Over the course of his career, Shelar has worked across several areas of the financial and payments ecosystem. His experience includes merchant acquiring, UPI, card payments, payment gateways, banking partnerships, digital commerce, payment infrastructure, product development, strategic alliances, sales, marketing, technology, and operations.
His professional journey has included leadership roles across organisations such as HDFC Bank, Deutsche Bank, BillDesk, Unimoni, and M2P Fintech. More recently, he served as Chief Operating Officer at IppoPay and Fin Meadows, where he was involved in developing merchant acquiring capabilities and strengthening payment infrastructure.
Shelar’s broad experience across traditional banking and emerging fintech businesses gives him a perspective on how financial services are evolving. From digital payments and merchant solutions to technology-led financial infrastructure, the sector continues to create new opportunities for businesses and consumers alike.
As Group CEO, Shelar is expected to play a key role in bringing together MOS Utility’s various business capabilities and supporting its efforts to build a more connected digital ecosystem. His focus will include identifying new growth opportunities, strengthening partnerships, improving operational scale, and creating greater value for customers and business stakeholders.
The appointment also comes as India’s fintech and digital payments landscape continues to expand, with businesses increasingly looking for seamless financial solutions, stronger digital infrastructure, and integrated platforms.
